What We Value

We value vibrant and authentic Worship that develops and deepens our relationship with God, turning our hearts towards Jesus Christ, yielding to him and listening for this voice. Psalm 71:6, Psalm 111:1-2, Psalm 138:1-2, Psalm 34:1, Hebrew 11:6, Romans 12:1-2
We value the whole counsel of God’s word as authoritative and applicable for all areas of the believer’s life. Isaiah 55:11, II Timothy 3:16
We value reaching unsaved people – locally, nationally, and internationally with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and are committed to using whatever means necessary to communicate the love of God, because we believe unsaved people matter to God and therefore, they matter to us. Luke 19:10, John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9

We value ministry that develops disciples making disciples, (DMD).  DMD’s are those men, women, boys and girls who have received Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives that consistently submit their wills to the authority of Christ and are actively being built, trained and developed to impact the world for the kingdom of God, which results in the making of more Disciples for Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 4:11-16, Matthew 28:18-20
We value prayer as a must for everything we do, so that, we see God’s power and love at work in our lives and the lives of those we pray for.  I Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, Luke 11:1-13, Psalm 65:2
We value the fellowship between believers that exhibits our love for God and love for one another that is characterized by the scripture and encouragement of one another in unity.  John 13:34, John 15:12
We value being good managers of the spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, and material resources that God has entrusted us with for the advancement of His kingdom.  Ephesians 4:7, 4:16, Matthew 25:14-30
We value honoring the God of excellence through a ministry of excellence.  God has given us His best (Jesus Christ) and therefore He deserves our best at Friendship Community Bible Church.  This will be accomplished when every believer faithfully exercises his or her God-given spiritual gifts and abilities to the best of his or her ability.  I Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23-24
We believe that God has ordained the sacred institution of marriage to only exist between a man and a woman according to Genesis 2. Therefore, based on God’s Inspired Word, we as a born again body of believers oppose homosexual unions and marriages. Nevertheless, we as a born again body of believers will show the love of Jesus Christ and share the gospel of Jesus Christ when necessary to all engaged in a homosexual lifestyle, in order that they may be set free from the power of homosexuality. Furthermore, we will not honor, recognize, sanction, participate or perform marital ceremonies for those intentionally living outside the will of God as homosexuals or any model of marriage or sexual disobedience. (i.e. – adultery, fornication, bestiality, polygamy) that has not been ordained in Scripture. On the other hand, we as a body of believers are willing to graciously assist in love all who are ready to turn from their sin and live in agreement with God’s will. Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:24-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 6:1-2, 1Timothy 1:8-11
