Mission

Helping people become committed followers of Christ.

Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18

The Vision of FCBC is to be “A Place to Begin Again”. The vision is rooted out of the story in John 8 where Jesus told the woman caught in the very act of   adultery to go her way and sin no more. In other words, Jesus allowed her to begin again!

Therefore, in a Christ like fashion, we desire to be a place where people of all races, ethnicities, educational levels, financial categories, and life issues can experience the healing balm of blessing through this ministry in order to Begin Again.

We envision FCBC being a place where people are Growing through discipleship from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity.

We envision FCBC being a place where people are Going throughout the community, marketplace, and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We envision FCBC being a place where people are a part of God-honoring families that reflect the glory of God and the witness of God to a watching world regardless of their family makeup. The vision of God-honoring families applies to blended families, married couples, single parents, single, widows or widowers, and divorcees.

We envision FCBC being a place where people are known by their Giving. Not only the giving of the tithes and offerings but also the giving of their time, talents, and expertise so that people will experience a holistic ministry that will assist them with food, shelter, clothing, life skills, and addiction recovery in order to help them begin again.

We envision FCBC being a place where people are Gracious. A place where we never forget that we are who we are by the grace of God, and that we must show the same grace and patience with others as the Lord has shown with us. This does not imply that we will disregard sin; it simply means that we believe that God’s grace is sufficient to enable all of us to live above the grip of sin.

As we faithfully march into accomplishing God’s will for this local assembly, we will spend the next 4 years of ministry being focused on the next phase of the FCBC vision called “Friendship 2020”. The particulars of Friendship 2020 are:

Saturation – Our quad-city area (Sugar Land, Missouri City, Richmond, and Rosenberg with home-based small (HFG) groups to enable the membership to experience life exchange outside the walls of FCBC.

Soul-Winning – Pursuing the unsaved through lifestyle evangelism.

Strengthening Families – Helping families to grow spiritually and relationally with one another and the Lord through discipleship.

Staffing – To strategically add paid staff members to the existing FCBC staff in order to help carry out the vision.

Securing Our Financial Future – Giving of funds over and above regular contributions in order to reduce current debt and to be financially ready to pursue new ministry opportunities as the Lord allows.

It is our commitment through the grace of God and the filling of the Holy Spirit to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain.

We will be a people who stand, speak, and show GRACE.
