What We Believe

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in   accordance to their own desires… II Timothy 4:3. NASB

We believe in the Godhead that eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God, having precisely that same nature, attributes, and perfections, and are worthy of the same homage, confidence and obedience.

We believe in the Deity of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who voluntarily died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world, and bearing the holy judgements against sin, which the righteousness of God imposed. Also, we believe that according to the Scriptures, He arose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He had lived and died. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead who took up His abode in the world in a special way on the day of Pentecost according to the divine promise, He now indwells every born again believer, and by His baptism, He unites all to Christ in one body and He is the source of all power and     acceptable worship and service and righteous living. All who receive Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit who regenerates them, indwells them,  baptizes them, seals them, and gifts them. John 3:3-6, Acts 5:1-4, Romans 5:5, Romans 8:9-11, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 4:30, Titus 3:5-7

We believe in the Bible as the inerrant inspired Word of God. The divine inspiration extends to all parts of the Bible. We also believe that all the Scriptures center on the Lord Jesus Christ in His person and work in His first and second coming. The Scriptures are also, designed for our practical instruction.  Luke 24:44-48, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

We believe in the Church as an elect company of believers who are united to the risen and ascended  Savior through the baptism of the Holy Spirit into one body which began at Pentecost. Its mission is to witness concerning its head, Jesus Christ, by preaching the gospel among all    nations. In addition, it is to make disciples and love one another with a pure and fervent heart. It will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air when He appears to set up His Kingdom. There is a promised reward in heaven for faithful service on earth.

We believe that the Scriptural ordinances of Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are for all believers in this church age.

We believe that God has ordained men to have final authority and responsibility for the church.

We believe that divine, enabling gifts for service are bestowed by the Spirit upon all who have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. While there is a diversity of gifts, each believer is  energized by the same Spirit, and each is called to his own divinely appointed service to the glory of God, the edification of the church, and the good of this fallen world.

We believe in the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as tongues and the gift of healing are still  operable today, but must be used in accordance with 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 and in the spirit of  1 Corinthians 13. 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 14, 1 Corinthians 13  

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost. Matthew 24:15-28, Acts 24:14-15, Romans 8:19-23, 1Timothy 4:1-3, 2Timothy 3:1-5, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, Revelation 20:11-15

We believe in the personal pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the air to receive to Himself His own who are alive, and He will bring with Him all who have   fallen asleep in Christ. John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but in Adam all of mankind fell into sin and lost his spiritual life and became subject to the power of Satan. This also resulted in the entire human race becoming depraved and separated from God so that all of mankind are sinners, and hopelessly sinful in themselves apart from the grace of God.

We believe in the person of Satan, the devil, who is the originator of sin, the prince of demons and is a declared adversary of God and man. We believe that Satan was judged at the Cross, though not executed, and now rules as the god of this world in a limited capacity by God. However, when the Lord Jesus Christ returns Satan will be bound and cast into the abyss for a thousand years and eventually cast into the lake of fire where he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they have been born again. No degree of reformation, morality, good works, religion, no sincere effort, no resolution, no good feelings, or church sacrament merits salvation. Salvation comes only through faith in Christ alone, who died as substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and rose on the third day.

We believe the grace of God to be sufficient for the maintenance of a godly walk, and that Christ and not the law is the believer’s rule of life.

We believe that because of the very nature of God's gift of eternal life, that all true believers everywhere, once saved they shall advocacy of Jesus Christ in heaven, the forever abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the heart of believers, and Christ's commitment to present us faultless before the Father.

We believe that God has ordained the sacred institution of marriage to only exist between a man and a woman according to Genesis 2. Therefore, based on God’s Inspired Word, we as a born-again body of believers oppose homosexual unions and marriages. Nevertheless, we as a born-again body of believers will show the love of Jesus Christ and share the gospel of Jesus Christ when necessary to all engaged in a homosexual lifestyle, in order that they may be set free from the power of homosexuality. Furthermore, we will also not honor, recognize, sanction, participate or perform marital ceremonies for those intentionally living outside the will of God as homosexuals or any other model of marriage or sexual disobedience (i.e. - adultery, fornication, bestiality, polygamy) that has not been ordained in Scripture. On the other hand, we as a body of believers will seek to be proactive in continuously reaching out in loving grace to all who are caught in sin and need to turn back to God’s will for their life.
